Islamic Relief Worldwide (Islamic Relief)

Islamic Relief Worldwide is an international humanitarian and development organization founded in Birmingham in 1984. It works in more than 40 countries through a family of national partners and country offices, responding to disasters and conflict and running longer-term programmes in food security, water and sanitation, health, education, livelihoods and orphan and child welfare.

Its work is funded by public donations alongside institutional donors, and is delivered without regard to the race, religion or gender of those it serves.

Islamic Relief states that its recruitment is guided by the values of sincerity, excellence, compassion, social justice and custodianship, and that every offer is subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening, which can include criminal records checks. Vacancies span emergency response and country programme roles in the field, and technical, fundraising, communications and support roles at the Birmingham headquarters and in partner offices.
